Microsoft
Strategic Acquisition & Interactive Brand Experience
OVERVIEW:
Microsoft is a global technology leader that defined the personal computing revolution and continues to shape the future of cloud computing, AI, and hardware. During this period of time, the company was in the midst of a major cultural and brand transformation, focusing on a mobile-first, cloud-first world. This era saw the expansion of physical Microsoft Stores and the launch of high-end hardware like the Surface line of products, positioning Microsoft as a premium lifestyle brand for both productivity and play.
ROLES:
Art Direction
Graphic & Visual Design
Print Design

Environmental Design
INSIGHT:
The insight for this acquisition attempt was centered on frictionless ecosystem growth. Microsoft’s diverse product range—from Xbox and Office 365 to Surface hardware—offered a unique opportunity to build a unified loyalty and financing solution.
By integrating a private-label credit program into both brick-and-mortar stores and the digital marketplace, Alliance Data aimed to help Microsoft increase wallet share and customer lifetime value, turning one-time hardware buyers into long-term subscribers of the Microsoft ecosystem.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective was to execute an immersive, high-tech presentation for Microsoft stakeholders at Alliance Data headquarters. My role was to develop a brand-pure environment that utilized Microsoft’s own technology to tell the story. I designed a comprehensive suite of environmental graphics and a digital presentation delivered via Microsoft Surface tablets.
Leveraging HubSpot to mimic a bespoke microsite, the presentation offered a tactile, interactive experience that allowed stakeholders to navigate the proposed loyalty journey in real-time, all while adhering to Microsoft’s strict Metro design language and minimalist brand standards.
RESULTS:
While Microsoft ultimately opted for a different path for its consumer financing and rewards programs, the presentation stood as a pinnacle of agency-client alignment.
It demonstrated Alliance Data’s ability to speak the language of big tech, moving away from traditional pitch decks in favor of a hardware-integrated, interactive experience. The creative assets and environmental design became a internal case study for "The Future of the Pitch," proving the agency’s ability to transform the brand experience into an interactive, high-tech narrative.
