INSIGHT:
With such a diverse range of academic and research units, the College faced a unique messaging challenge: how to communicate highly complex, scientific concepts in a way that remains accessible and engaging. To bridge this gap, there was a clear need for a scalable visual language that could move beyond academic silos. The goal was to translate dense research—spanning from ocean conservation to innovation theory—into a cohesive narrative that resonates with everyone from students and alumni to global community partners.
OBJECTIVE:
In partnership with the College, I led the development of a comprehensive visual asset library designed to educate faculty, staff, and stakeholders on ongoing research efforts. My primary objective was to create a series of custom illustrations and infographics that simplified complex data without losing its scientific integrity. Meticulously aligned with ASU’s "Innovation" brand standards, these assets were built to function as a "plug-and-play" system for multi-faceted marketing, social media, and educational presentations.
RESULTS:
The initiative provided the College with a powerful, unified toolset that significantly bolstered brand equity and ensured visual uniformity across all communication channels. By forging a deeper visual connection with its audience, the asset library became central to the College's engagement strategy, simplifying the "Global Futures" narrative for alumni and prospective students alike. The project successfully proved that strategic illustration can serve as a vital bridge between high-level academic research and real-world community impact.
